Brand New Poll out of MA has Coakley up by 8
Edited on Thu Jan-14-10 05:09 PM by WI_DEM
Research 2000 for Blue Mass Group. 1/12-13. Likely voters. Moe 4%.

Martha Coakley (D) 49%
Scott Brown (R) 41%

A look at Pollster.com shows significant consistency in Coakley's numbers -- over the past 10 days polls have put her between 47% and 53%, and this is obviously no exception. Brown's numbers have bounced around more, from 36% to 48%, with the last two public (as opposed to internal) polls putting him at the top of that range. Hopefully this will be the first of a string of polls in which Brown's numbers return to earth.

At Blue Mass Group, David points out that

Particularly interesting in these numbers is the breakdown of unenrolled (independent) voters. Brown is ahead in that group 49-36; significant, to be sure, but not the overwhelming advantage suggested in the Rasmussen (71-23) and PPP (63-31) polls that came out recently.

14. It's a difficult process to master. Give them a break.
Do they click Unrecommend or Recommend?

Eeney, Meeney, Miney, Moe...which one will it be?

Such a tough decision, and if their aim isn't precise, they BAM! hit the wrong link and they've frittered away yet another vote! Oh, when will they master the procedure? Try as they might, they just can't seem to get it right.

You must be patient with them, and give them support.

:sarcasm:

7. Really

Too many people are freaking out over nothing.

Coakley will win and it won't be close enough for the rightwingers to cry foul.

6. I think the poll the other day was odd
just a few days prior to that, I saw her numbers up... it just doesn't make sense to see her drop that far down in such a short amount of time.

9. That was Odd
seems possibly the pollster hit upon a group of republicans. a group who would vote for a rock with an "R" painted on it.

12. Today's poll has her up 8 points

The poll in question is so far away from all other polls, it's not to be believed.

so many things out there you just can't trust. It's hard enough for DUers to keep up with it all, no just imagine those who just get their news from tv.

20. The same polling company had Corzine up by 9 points days before the election

He lost by 4 points.

The company is near the bottom in accuracy.

Robocall, of course.

But it's a little worrisome that so much attention is being paid to this election.

24. Notice the reporters are really pushing the Puke in every report?
Chuck Todd is talking about landslides for Brown. Wonder if they use computer voting? Is it going to be rigged. AND are the people of MA stupid enough to hand the Senate 59 Dems.. Nothing will move at all. So much is already sitting around because of the filibuster. Oh well, screw the nation some more pukes.
