Was interested to hear his answer to that question after a blurb I saw on a website yesterday. He said it had not been suggested or discussed and he did not think it would be good policy. He said the administration wants to preserve the tax breaks that benefit the majority of American citizens (I'm gonna guess here he means those passed in the stimulus bill) but that he did not know of any plan to extend the Bush tax cuts and he was not in favor of doing so.

Here is a blurb that appeared yesterday about that:

The Obama administration might seek a temporary extension of all current tax rates, including for the nation's wealthiest earners, beyond their scheduled Dec. 31 expiration, congressional and private-sector sources said.

This was the website that reported yesterday that the unions had cut a deal to exempt their members from the excise tax as if it was a done deal and without mentioning other concessions the unions were still trying to win that would benefit workers who were not among their members.

I don't know much about them but it does seem as if, based on these 2 stories, that they like to stir poopie.
