was just going on the twitter, and one person tweeted (I translate)

that the Ambassador of Venezuela said this was caused by consumerism.

Now I will note that it does not matter if the Ambassador said this or not... I personally doubt he was that much of an Idiot... diplomats tend to be careful... but the fact that people are even thinking this shows the level of stupidity out there.

Thankfully this random tweet does not have the same audience as oh Rush or a certain supposedly christian leader... but it speaks to the idiocy of humanity.

Or could he have meant corporatism which is braided with consumerism? I couldn't help but make this leap because they're tied together and Haiti has been at the mercy of corporatism for some time. I read how they were urged to give up agriculture and create factories.
