From facebook (wackos out in force)
I just think people need not misinterpret God's Will. I am definitely not saying that it was anyone s fault of their own and I do pray for those who are suffering. It's just God's way of showing His wrath whether is be immediate or over centuries of Man's sinful ways. The ultimate price for sin is death.

Even if it is at "another man's sacrifice."

We just need not get into the ways of mans justification and really preserve that there is a GOD and we are all not promised tomorrow.
For the numbers of peoples lives that were lost is inconceivable but the pain would carry the same for the little girl that was beaten to death and molested by her uncle at the age of two.

People seem to forget these tragedies too quick. Some people actually think that 911 didn't really happen. Besides the 2 tsunamis, the earthquake in China that killed 48,0000 people a few years ago. And theses are only recent "Signs of the Times"

We never know why God allows these things to happen but other than to make a show of His wrath.
Pat is raising enough money to relieve the whole island and has enough pull to do miracles for those survivors.

Words can and will be twisted to shame the Glory or the Power of our Lord

In which has now been interpreted to be a Malice heart of a tremendous man of God.

As abrasive as he sounded he meant nothing more than that there has been a bad seed planted and this is the outcome.
Love Ya!!

.....

Dare we yearn to learn from Gods Wrath? Isaiah 51:13 that you forget the LORD your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor?

.....

Looking for balance is sometimes misinterpreted depending on opinionated views. There in only one thin line between the truth and a lie. Just because one doesn't agree with ones view doesn't mean it can't exist. We can all learn from each other.
Learning anything yet??

...

---And yes, all of the above were from the same person.

Time to unfriend someone.
:o}

2. Oh yeah, I need more crazy people in my life
"Be God's best friend or he'll kill you." How do you fuck up the message that badly? Looks like a pre-existing condition to me.

3. Those comments are breathtakingly ignorant.

This person thinks Robertson will basically buy the island and make it all Christian and better, so he can say what he likes. (Why is there no "jaw dropping to the floor in abject horror" smilie?) And is actually pretty satisfied that God's will really was done?

It's like there should be an "unfriend with prejudice" option.

5. Some of the greatest cataclysms of the modern era
of recorded history happened 50 or 100 years or more ago. Much worse than a 7.0 earthquake.

The Anchorage earthquake of 1964, the explosion of Krakatau in 1883. They were far worse (from a scientific point of view of the destructive power) than anything we've seen in the last 10 years. Krakatau killed some 38,000 people. What followed was "the year without summer" in the northern hemisphere or "Average global temperatures fell by as much as 1.2 degrees Celsius in the year following the eruption. Weather patterns continued to be chaotic for years and temperatures did not return to normal until 1888." (from the wiki). The Anchorage earthquake measured 9.2 and caused 131 deaths. Not to mention the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 that killed somewhere between 6000 and 12000 people.

There are two big differences between those events and the smaller (but ofter more deadly) events of today...

1) there was no instant media so most people didn't even KNOW that they occurred until weeks or months later.

2) Population densities were SO much smaller then that IF such events happened today, even the Haiti disaster would look, well, like it does (a 7.0 earthquake near an ill-prepared but densely populated area).

What I'm saying is that the earth has been having these natural disasters for, well, billions of years... only no one was around to broadcast it nor was there a staggering loss of life because of it (not that 38,000 isn't staggering, but think what would happen TODAY if a volcano exploded with the same force of a Krakatau, say in Indonesia).

God isn't especially angry at us today... if anything, nature is taking it easy on mankind for the moment.

Wait until the volcano Cumbre Vieja on the volcanic ocean island of La Palma erupts and the mega tsunami hits the east coast of the US created by the resulting massive landslide. Then we can start talking about how much God hates us and the end of the world and all that crap.

6. Yeah Pat really was kind to us in Katrina regardless of religion
That horse's behind stated that Katrina was God's wrath against New Orleans for it's sinful ways. Err excuse me Mr. Robertson, but Katrina's eye went into Mississippi not New Orleans, and I am pretty darn sure of it since I WAS THERE!!! Also seems to me Mississippi is part of the Bible Belt and a very conservative state, but I might be wrong about that since I only lived there OVER HALF A CENTURY!!!
To HELL with him, he is garbage.
