He'll bring you down to his level of idiocy and then beat you with experience.
It was just "tampons in your ears" this and "blockhead" that.
Maybe that's why liberal talk radio doesn't work as well as conservative talk radio, conservatives like Rush just oversimplify and use ad hominem attacks to get the point across.

1. Liberal talk radio works very well. |
|
It's an ownership dilemma. Liberal radio has to fight media consolidation.

I don't think it fails all of the time or that it is inevitable that it fails. Maybe I should say there is a perception that it doesn't work.

6. Fight? This Horse Is Long Out Of The Barn... |
|
Part of Rushbo's tantrums is due to the sad state of radio...an industry that has "deregulated" itself into bankruptcy. The consolidation happened a decade ago...and just like the housing bubble it was done with "creative" financing that now means millions in debts for the Cheap Channels who overpaid for licenses to corner and dominate the airwaves (including shoving rushbo down our throats on hundreds of their stations) and destroyed local operations...news, information and entertainment in their "consolidation" efforts.
His antics are to get ears to the radio...hope to generate both ratings and revenunes to keep the wolves from the door and protect what's left of their over-inflated "stick" or license values. Rushbo's bigger fear than President Obama being a "socialist" is the upcoming implosion of many of the companies that pay his fat paycheck. Thus he plays the petulant child...gets all sorts of PR that he and his ilk hope to spin into some kind of attention to stay "relevant" and also try to keep the industry he ruined from totally collapsing.

3. Can't argue with a liar |
|
Limbaugh lies to try to win arguments, and when he can't win, he calls people names. That's all he does. He's not very intelligent when it comes to current affairs. It seems his only asset is the fat on his face that he likes to shake around. I can't help but laughing. A third grader could beat him in a political argument.

4. You can't argue with Limbaugh - not on his show anyway. |
|
A few years ago some people documented Limbaugh's tactics. One of the things he does is allow you keep on talking while he cuts off your mike and then talks over you. So, you think you've made your point, but it's hasn't gone out over the airwaves. Limbaugh wins and you sound like an idiot. People recorded their conversations and the radio show. It's a common Limbaugh tactic.
