Up to 80 million Americans infected with H1N1: CDC
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – As many as 80 million Americans have been infected with H1N1 swine flu, up to 16,000 have been killed and more than 360,000 hospitalized, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday.

But 90 percent of the most vulnerable people remain unvaccinated, with only about 61 million Americans having received shots, the CDC said.

Swine flu vaccine is still widely available, with more than 130 million doses produced and 160 million people at high priority for getting the vaccine.

2. I don't quite understand the 90 percent unvaccinated claim.
That doesn't match up with the numbers, does it?

4. I think I have the flu. Not sure.
No insurance, and I don't have the $130 to see my doctor or more than that to get Tamiflu or whatever. So far, the fever's low-grade, so maybe it's not the flu but instead something else. The amount of crap coming out of my head is something else, though, and my asthma is really ticked off.

There's another round going around up here in Michigan right now. I'm a sub, and there were tons of kids out sick this week, and today I couldn't work because of this.

5. My doctor recommended with asthma that I get the H1N1 shot, so I did it.
Sounds like it was a good idea, from what you explain. Get lots of rest, take care!!!! God I wish we had socialized medicine.

6. My doctor did too--at a time when the ex wasn't paying support.
I barely had money for food and gas, let alone cash for a shot that I couldn't get. There are enough doses around now, but now I've got it, and that money would be wasted when I need it for other bills.

7. I got my H1N1 shot at Walgreen's last week.
$18. Money well spent, IMO.

8. I don't get the flu, so I did not get vaccinated.
I'm still alive and still have not got the flu.

I'm still not going to get vaccinated either, so don't ask for my papers.

9. I got the vaccine yesterday
Didn't even hurt. The regular flu vaccine had my arm hurting for a week. Not this one.

The pharmacist said he noticed the same thing when he got his.

10. I'm pretty sure that's what flattened me this Christmas.
For about a week I had zero energy, no desire to eat or even think about food, symptoms of a bad cold, aching muscles and joints...

I wish I'd been vaccinated, but at the time you still had to hunt down the vaccine here. My doctor didn't have any when I got my usual flu shots, and it wasn't available at local clinics, Walgreens, etc., yet.
