I got sick hearing that.

Edit: The scope of this tragedy really hits the soul when I realized that some of the greatest need in Haiti along with aid to survivors will be funeral service workers, morticians etc. Disheartening tragedy.

1. "Only" 40,000 buried seems rather impressive to me.
"Impressive" as far as getting that much physical labor performed in such conditions.

2. You could of followed Anderson Cooper on a truck dumbing human remains
but, hey, here you are minimizing something you can't fathom.

4. Says the guy who wants to blame Obama for the earthquake.
Btw, look up "minimizing."

You're using it wrong.

8. Darn, you must have missed your calling as detective
There is no blame there but criticism. Never mind, you seem to have especial goggles on.

16. Inigo Montoya.
Edited on Sat Jan-16-10 07:30 AM by JTFrog
Another memorable quote from the movie, which is often used in popular culture, is Inigo's response to Vizzini's usage of the word "inconceivable" as an expression of surprise, indicating that Vizzini considered something impossible. Ironically, the very event Vizzini refers to is frequently occurring even as he speaks. After hearing Vizzini repeatedly misuse the word in this way, Inigo turns to him and says:

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

3. Totally agree. Relief/rescue workers are doing all they can under those horrible conditions.
Impressive indeed. My heart goes out to them in this tragedy.

12. Every delay in delivering care means more dead.
The horror to me is the victims who died waiting.

13. I nearly threw up when I heard that
My God, these poor, suffering people. Haven't they endured enough already? Lord, please let the aid get to the living SOON, before the death toll climbs even higher.

15. That was my first laugh in the midst of the horrific pain
This is now about the living - the dead will be treated like they are treated in every crisis - dignity will be possible for the few who arrange it for their dead and then they'll have a massive cathartic ceremony for those who need it.

17. Morticians? They are dumping the bodies in holes in the ground not even attempting to identify them
They aren't even taking pictures of the dead, noting physical attributes, tattoos, etc., just rolling them out of dump trucks into holes dug into the ground along with TRASH. I saw a video of it on CNN; the dump truck was half filled with human bodies and debris and he just backed up and unloaded it into a hole in the ground.

For the next 75 years many living today will NEVER know what happened to their loved ones.

19. Uh, ya sure. So they should just assume their very young children
were just killed in the earthquake and not taken in as homeless by others....

Sheese.
