So nothing really surprises me. All states, even the most liberal ones elect Moronic Republicans sometimes.

1. If I remember correctly, he won because his opponent ran a poor campaign.
Ironically.

2. Sort of. The national rethuglican machine had a great deal to do with that.

People in MA have to understand that the repuglicans would like nothing more than to get a foothold in the state. They funnel money and resources to anyone who who they think can further their agenda. See Massachusetts gubernatorial election 2002, Romney vs O'Brien for an example.

The democrats better get off their asses and the citizens of the historic commonwealth of Massachusetts need to stand up and be counted.

Brown is running as a nut-job Republican - much different thing.

5. And sometimes they even elect moronic Democrats
Mike Dukakis shot himself in the foot a number of times...

Why he thought this would be a good idea, I'll never know.

Well, whatever...I'm going to vote for Coakley.

6. He ran as a liberal Republican, and did not have any record that said otherwise.
Brown has a record.
