It is killing W to have to stand up and praise Obama
On CNN right now, Obama spoke, then Bush, and now Clinton is up. It really showed how inarticulate W is.

2. Hee hee...
Many people wondered why Obama would choose W to handle something of this magnitude.

I think he (BO) has a wicked sense of humor.

5. I thought so too. I tend to have wicked sense of humor too--and that was the first thing
I thought of.

10. I hope it's not just a joke to him, though
Appointing Bush to this position as display of humor would not be wise.

3. I had the opposite impression -- Bush surprised me by coming across well
he knows he still has some juice among some of the GOP base (especially evangelicals) and was pressing them to send money, which is the best way to generate immediate help.

Hats of to all three POTUSes. On message, to the point, and letting a global audience know that we're serious about helping Haiti. Obama's team may have done the choreography, but the three Presidents carried it off well.

6. I think it is strategic on BO's part... diffuses the RW criticism...
and exposes the hypocrisy a la Limbaugh and Faux news.

I didn't see the three on tv--just commenting on the invitation to Bush* to help... Apparently the Heritage Foundation made that specific request of Obama to bring in a high profile REPUG, citing Bush* by name.

11. I'm hearing Heritage made the plea AFTER Obama had decided.
Typical Heritage Foundation: behind the times as always.
