12. No, reducing the age of Medicare eligibility to zero might have done that.
But not this wholesale delivery of the American people into the hands of the insurance lobby.

9. Long term or short term?
In the long term, passing the health insurance giveaway. In the short term, in regard to unemployment benefits and the like, gridlock. Depends on whether you want your poison now or your poison later on the long term.

there are so many other issues.

You would not be allowed to complain about it either. The economy could be staggering and there would be no way the government could do anything. Any time you complained, all we'd have to post in response is "Sen. Brown."
