He has just been amazing reporting from Haiti. He is emotional, honest, frustrated. Asking the questions we are all thinking and doing his best to get answers.
For those of you that haven't been following him in Haiti - it's worth it.

I've never really been a fan of his, but right now I have immense respect for his reporting during this tragedy.

remember he had a boat and was helping pull people on board. And all that kind of stuff. He got very emotional because of the lack of help that the bush administration was NOT sending.

It's a classic. Landrieu drones on for about a minute "thanking" various politicians before Anderson cuts her off and tells her about bodies in the street being eaten by rats, and that people there don't want to hear politicians thanking each other.

Funny, if you watch the clip, when Landrieu starts talking again after getting spanked by Anderson, she suddenly slips into a southern drawl, like that's going to make her sound more sincere and credible.

His anchoring is pretty lame, but he is a natural for on the scene reporting of disasters...hmmm - wonder what they says about him :)

11. I'm watching BBC World News America.

For those of you who can get BBCA network, give it a try. Excellent coverage of the facts told with compassion. I tried Katie Couric too, but CBS's coverage was not as in-depth.

I'm also watching Rachael Maddow, who has been doing great news journalism every night since the quake.

And I watch PBS Newshour for its thorough coverage, particularly interviews with key authority figures, including Bill Clinton this week.

Cooper does a fair job when he works for CBS's 60 Minutes. I dare say he's a little too good for CNN.

13. Cooper is providing excellent coverage

He has been making sure viewers have a sense of the depth of the tragedy. He has moved beyond just reporting the facts. He doesn't try to totally supress the emotions he feels, nor is he completely falling apart on tv. Last night he raised an excellent point when he was reporting on the little girl that had been rescued from the rubble but later died. He said it was a "stupid death" He said that in the US she would have received medical care and definitely would have survived. So many people with minor conditions are dying simply because they are in Haiti and there are far too few medical professionals and beds. It is stupid.

14. He's good when it isn't politics

But totally disappointing on CNN. He gets to the truth in disasters and does anything not to get to the truth in how politics is destroying the country. It's like he can't see the forest burning for caring for only one tree.

but I find MSNBC's reporting gives a better overall picture of what's going on in Haiti. CNN and AC do a great job of focusing in on specific stories with a lot of punch.
