I mean, the Declaration of Independence is supposed to state our intention to have life, liberty and pursuit of happiness in America, right? And the Constitution is the instrument that's the guideline for implementing it, right?

So there's a gay exclusion in the damn thing?

Of course there isn't.... Which means that people who say that, if you're gay, you're not allowed to participate... Well there's no doubting that they're all full of homophobic shit.

Don't mind me... just rambling.

I leave you to your regularly scheduled General Discussion.

1. You are 100 percent correct....
There is also NO right for the Government to mandate buying from a private company either.
It still doesnt stop them because they are out of control and do not obey the constitution or uphold their oath of office.

9. Well, the Constitution is only tangentially related to that other document

5. I thought L, L, and PoH were from the Declaration of Independence
The constitution is merely the instruction book for how the government is formed and what it can do

7. What I don't get is that
if these jerks really wanted to protect marriage, why don't they campaign against divorce? Of course, it's because the Karl Rove's, Newtie's, Mark Sanford's, et al couldn't divorce.

8. I don't think they care what the constitution says,
or the declaration of independence, or the bill of rights. All they care about is that their version of their religion gets legislated, so that their version of god and morality becomes law. They want to be legally put above the people they hate, and they want the people they hate to become legal pariahs, banished to the fringes of society or, if possible, banished all together. :(

Yet, somehow, they don't see the hatred in this.
