Martha Coakley's political ideology
Edited on Sat Jan-16-10 05:14 PM by Irish_shark
It's safe to say that many of us are not very familiar with Martha Coakley's political ideology. Is she a liberal? moderate? conservative? left/center? To answer this question let's examine her political ideology as charted by the independent ontheissues.org website, based on her past votes and views. For context, let's show the chart for a politician that we all agree to be a liberal/progressive politician: John Kerry:

As you can see, Kerry is a very progressive politician. link to Kerry's ontheissues page where the chart can be found: http://www.ontheissues.org/john_kerry.htm

Next, let's show the chart for Max Baucus, a Blue Dog:

Now Coakley:

1. That's good enough for me! Compared to Scott Brownshirt, especially.
Scott Brown- Pro-Rapist, Anti-Gay, Anti-Constitution, Pro-Teabagger, Anti-Student, Anti-Woman, Anti-Choice, Pro-Bankster, Anti-Fact.

4. Welcome to DU.
Thank you for posting. The charts are a good way to visualize just what it means to call someone a "centrist".
