Seriously it's great to watch the adults in charge
Any DUers saw those people arrive at Homestead on the US Army plane - over 200 of them with school buses waiting for them to take them to a gymnasium for them to be processed and sent on their way.

I can see serious planning here.

1. Who's that fresh faced kid that's in charge, has like a week's worth of experience?

5. He sounds smart so that would be the correct approach
Maybe he's a very good manager - tying things together. The best leaders are not afraid to delegate responsibilities.

4. This guy?

Obviously, they should have forseen an earthquake coming this week, and ignored his complete suitability for an organisation that is mainly about longer-term aid.

6. He's just a lowly community organizer.
Oh wait.

"Obama is inexperienced" was the worst prediction ever. The Repukes were just attacking his greatest strength.

8. On CNN I'm watching a scene of a park in Haiti
It's a long shot of a CNN journalist interviewing someone. Haitians are casually walking by with water bottles. Children are all over the place playing and running and jumping. It looks like a normal everyday scene.

Even if it's only one part of the city or an outlying city it's a lovely scene.

11. I'm watching GEM$NBC
This Steve guy from the Red Cross says things have improved. Cadavers are off the street -they are beginning to clear the blocked roads, people are starting to rebuild their lives and aid is reaching people.
Still need some staging grounds and fuel for some places but every minute it's improving.

Great news.
