A Turkish and an American rescue team have discovered pockets of live people, at least some are uninjured. They believe that they are about 4 hours from rescue.

1. Good news.
I hope they can rescue them before aftershocks or any other obstacles get in the way.

The rescuers had to abandon the building temporarily, but are back to the rescue. You should see the pictures of how badly the building is damaged. I doubt that I would have the courage to do their job.

ON EDIT: I updated my OP for a pic and link to the video.

12. I hope. I hope. I hope. I hope.
Wow! :wow: 60 people. I hope they can save them. That would be one sweet little glimmer of hope in this tragedy.

and they were working at getting them out.

10. Well, I suppose if one HAD to be trapped in a collapsed building
...a supermarket would probably be the best place you could be.

Assuming you weren't trapped in the non food aisle, of course.

18. I haven't heard anything further
I'm not sure that what msnbc is showing now isn't a rebroadcast of their earlier coverage. We may not here anything until tomorrow.
