I'm Kind Of Pissed At The Kennedy's For Not Running One Of The Family To ......
keep Teddy's Senate seat. They knew how much this 'health care bill' meant to Teddy. You would think they would pull out all stops to make it happen for him - even if it meant one of the Kennedy family members would run.

I'm also pissed at the Dems in general for taking that seat for granted and not really going all out to make sure that the election would be a landslide. Instead they just coasted and look where we're at now. I'm hearing that this election is tenuous.

I'm also suspect that every election seems to be close and 50-50. Is this the media that is making it close so they have something to talk about or did the Dems really piss this one away?

1. I don't think that's really fair to the Ks. But, YES, the Dems were caught napping - but let's see
what happens.

Then again, the DNC didn't do anything for Al Franken either.

5. What's Not Fair?.....
If they really felt that this was Teddy's senate long battle - health care reform - that is - then why didn't they do everything in their power to make it happen for him. All they needed was to make it through this election and serve out the rest of his term and assure that even this shadow of a HCR bill would pass in his name. Then they could have made the decision for the next election to give someone else a chance.

Now look what we might be facing.

2. Ted Kennedy's popularity did not have much to do with his name
maybe at the beginning. but people loved him for many reasons.

other kennedys do not do so well, look at Caroline and a bunch of others.

you assume their name would help them but it doesn't.

the only one i think could have won is Robert Kennedy Jr, but he is from New York

6. Ted would be happy to extend healthcare to 30 million Americans
and he would have loudly voted "Yea!"

12. The bill does not extend healthcare to 30 million Americans
it provides "coverage" with no guarantees that the out of pocket expenses won't be so high a person will still be unable to afford to get care.

Most the medical bankruptcies in the country are filed by people who thought they were "covered" - this bill will do nothing to change that. Michael Moore might as well start working on the sequel to "Sicko".

7. I think, overall, Americans are tired of the "dynasties"
like Kennedy, Bush, Clinton, etc. and just want a fresh face. Look what happened when Caroline considered running for Hillary's seat.

Yes the Dems have been caught napping in this race but hopefully they have awoken just in time for Coakley to pull it off. What a disgrace it would be for a Repuke to take Ted's old seat!

13. After the bludgeoning endured by Caroline K. when she tested
the waters in New York, I really can't blame the other Kennedys for taking a pass.
