From a cursory look over his record, he's glitter - a beauty queen. Involved in "a conflict for the future of America" - which in all honesty, he should never have gotten within decades of getting to the point he is.

It really will - there has been such complacency about this race (until recently a LOT of people didn't even know that the election was this Tuesday).

And, as an aside, the people I know who aren't voting for Coakley but abstaining, they are doing it because of Coakley. I am reluctantly supporting her but there are many legitimate concerns people have about Coakley as a Senator. This is a lesser of two evil thing for me but if you want to mobilize the base, best give them something to vote FOR

15. Yeah, it seems as though the Dems kind of snoozed on this

one. And honestly, from an outsider's POV, I just assumed any Dem in MA would be 1)Really good in the Teddy mode, and 2) a sure win. So if I were there I'd sure as hell get my ass to the polls. THEN work on getting another Dem to maybe run against her if she disappoints once in office.
But gotta get her in that seat first and foremost.

But again, I'm disappointed we didn't see this coming. The Repubs seem to be all over everything, we seem to have faith in the people to 'do what's right'. Or something. :shrug:

14. I just remember the lead-up

to 2008. I got the feeling the media like pushing the idea of a close election. It made for good tv in that it gave them something to talk about.

Were there any media folks predicting a FL win for Obama? An Ohio win? A NC win? Indiana? The Polls were close enough to give MSM plenty of room to speculate.

I was so stressed out on election day that I couldn't really grasp the fact that Obama was going to win until they actually called it at 8 PM PST.

If the Democrats lose this seat it's because they didn't GOTV.
