I'm starting to wish Democrats never achieved a 60 seat majority in the Senate

Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry at the Democrats like some are. It just created expectations that were difficult to meet. If they had 57-59 seats they would probably be in a better position.

p.s. I know Lieberman isn't a Democrat but he caucasus with them.

I really don't truly think that Obama could have done a whole lot better. I think he was elected into a toxic environment that is bringing out the very worst in many people - primarily those on the right. What we are seeing makes no sense, it is batshit crazy insane. I now think that the country has to somehow work this period out of its system, but it's going to be ugly, do incalculable damage that we may never fully recover from.

That is, senators who vote for the principles of the Democratic Party, who actually support the party platform, who vote consistent with the progressive liberal tradition of the Democratic Party going back to FDR. One of those 12 is actually an independent Democratic Socialist. The other 37 or so are corporate whores pretending to be Democrats. And then there is that fucking asshole scumbag from Connecticut.
