Sunday wasn't as bad as feared here, but other areas got pounded. We started with the pounding here in earnest at dawn and it continued to about 1PM. That will be the pattern, rain in 1st half of day, clearing in the PM. All week long. Up to 20" of rain this week here in Nor Cal:

(01-18) 18:29 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- Rain, hail, thunder and stiff gusts of wind paraded through the Bay Area on Monday, knocking out power to thousands of people and forcing an airliner into an emergency landing - and that was just a taste of what's to come, emergency officials said.
The outages to 51,000 customers, most of them in the North Bay and on the Peninsula, could seem like a small total if wind predictions hold true for storms due in Wednesday and Thursday that also threaten to flood low-lying city streets.
"For us, this week is an all-hands-on-deck situation," said Joe Molica, a spokesman for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. "We're assigning crews as quickly as we can, but they'll definitely be working all day and through the night."
By evening, PG&E crews had gotten the power back for all but 2,600 customers in the Half Moon Bay and Woodside areas, Molica said...
