I don't give a damn WHAT that political point might be. Using this tragedy to advance a political or ideological agenda is an ASSHOLE thing to do.

If you feel compelled to flame me or unrec this or whatever the hell else people here do when an OP displeases them, maybe you should take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why it hits so close to home. Then, before you waste time arguing on a goddamn message board, just STFU and go donate some more money to the charity of your choice.

Wanna help Haiti? Then stop with all this bullshit pointless posturing on the internet.

1. If painting one's self as the 'know it all' of operational thinking in the course of...
derailing the contrary, unfamiliar opinions of others seeking to alleviate human suffering is scoring political points then I agree - End It!!

3. When you tell people that shutting up will help Haiti
you are using Haiti to shut people up.

4. Except I didn't say "shutting up will help Haiti," did I?
Donating to a charity directly involved in the disaster relief WILL help Haiti, though - which is what I encourage people to do instead of wasting their time trying to play fucking games on DU.

Struck a nerve, did I? Too goddamn bad. If you really think playing politics on DU is a constructive way to spend your time vis a vis the Haiti disaster, then I really don't know what else to say to you.
