I just talked to Randi on the air!

I was at the protest in DC on Saturday and called her to talk about it. About how inspiring it was to be there, etc. I wrote down what I wanted to say ahead of time but I was so nervous I have no idea how I sounded. So if anyone was listening . . . please humor me and tell me that at least I didn't make a fool of myself! At least I got my cherry popped!

I probably called about an hour into the show, spoke to a screener and told her what I wanted to talk about, and she said she'd put me on the air. So I hung on, and the screener came back on the line periodically to assure me I was next. Then nothing happened for a long time, and THEN, all of a sudden, there was Randi saying my name. Yikes!

When she airs depends on the market you're in.

The local affiliate here in Chicago doesn't put her on the air until 5pm (and because they're a little weenie station with no wattage to speak of, they're only on from sunrise 'til sunset, which means she's gone by 6 at this time of the year). I work at home so I can stream AAR over the internet (via iTunes) without anyone giving me a hard time. Otherwise this never would have been possible.

. . . to my own post, I downloaded the podcast from the White Rose Society and listened to it myself. Except for an erroneous preposition (where I said I took the bus FROM DC when I actually took the bus TO DC) I guess I didn't sound too "stoopid." PHEW!
