Corporate Responsibility - I think the DEMs have a chance here

To our Democratic Lawmakers - watch the polls closely today. I think America is sending you a message

And NO it is not the Tea-bagger's message or influence.

I don't think the Tea-baggers have convinced anyone other then to rally their base (28% of voters) after a crushing defeat in 2006 and 2008. What I do see are ordinary Hard Working Americans, Blue Collar and White Collar alike, revolting against "Business as Usual" for Corporate America. I also thing the DLC Dems have forgotten a very important lesson - Its the Working Class that puts them into office.

Corporate Responsibility - needs to be the message of the 2010 Election Cycle

Democrats need to campaign on reeling in Corporate Irresponsibility of reckless speculation, shady trading practices, (buying Credit Default Swaps on the Securities you just sold) excessive compensation, and "Profit over America's Best Interest" policies that have dominated Wall St. Primarily the Corporate Policies have been "Short Term Profits with Long Term Consequences"

No more Corporate Raiding of Employee Pension Plans. Put a Stop to Corporations closing plants and shipping the jobs overseas. At least place a small Stock Transaction Fee on Wall St. transactions to minimize speculation and market manipulation by Insider Trading. And above all "Stop policies that Socialize the Losses, and Privatize the Profits" - this amounts to little more then a Tax on the Working Class to subsidize their Corporate Greed.
