IF everybody on the Left gave up Morning Joe for American Morning
Maybe the vapid fuck would get his ass canned and there would finally be a liberal morning news show.

1. Seriously, why do people watch him?
I've never ever tuned into his show. He's vile.

4. For me
It wakes me up. A little outrage in the morning gets me going. That, and the occasional moments when a clever guest hands Joe's pompous ass to him in a Starbuck's cup.

7. All that outrage is bad for your heart
It raises your blood pressure. Not good. I decided that it's better for my health to just wait until the good parts show up on YouTube. :-)

I lump him in with Rush, Beck and Hannity.

19. I agree

He's a piece of poo.

But his show is devoid of the one mainstay that other morning shows revel in - it is a thing that actually, really disgusts me - the post-mortem interview. You know, where they bring the surviving family members of some noted death and ask them...."How do you feel?"

That, I cannot stand. That disgusts me. That is the kind of teevee crap that makes me throw things. Some puffed up bloviator is nothing compared to compassionate vulturism.

2. American Morning isn't a lot better
Maybe we should be encouraging folks to watch a movie instead. :)

6. Yeah, but CNN is a direct competitor
If the Scarborough numbers go down while AM's numbers go up, MSNBC will panic.

If the Scarborough numbers go down and CNN stays flat, they'll figure American news shows are losing audience and give Mika more time to spout shit. :puke:

13. ...Or, SOMEhow, convince Ted Turner...
...to buy-back controlling-interest of CNN.

CNN has never been the same, since they started implementing the FAUX-Noise-options; excessive-bantering/mugging & infotainment...rather-than straight, dry NEWS.

18. Agree!!!
I MISS those days of straight, dry news.

I don't watch the morning stuff anymore, either. It just gets my day off to a bad start.

23. No Doubt.....
How refreshing, it was (in the early-days of cable-news) to be able to turn-on CNN and get NEWS; 24-hours-a-day!!!!!

When they axed people, like Joie Chen...

http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/alumni/hallofachievement.aspx?id=117039

.....and, brought-in a bubblehead like Carol Lin...

http://www.rateitall.com/i-29429-carol-lin.aspx

....I knew something seriously-wrong had happened, at CNN.

5. Already did...
And, now that Starbucks is selling a "Morning Joe" blend, complete with the show's logo, I don't think I'll be buying their coffee any time soon.

10. Tsk tsk, don't you know by now
that RW assclowns fail upwards. Even that smarmy, entitled idiot Tucker Carlson is still alive and kicking around, and if anyone deserves to die an ignominious career death, it's Bowtie Boy.

26. i gave up tv about three months ago..much better without it
i watch olberman and rachel ..frontline..60 minutes and documentaries online..the negative influence the tube has on our culture is more evident each day..last week i stayed in a hotel and thought i would surf a bit...lasted about ten minutes ....its hype, illusion , wannabe celebrities, pundits with authority and no heart or brain, and lots of stuff to buy..happily, over it

24. I assume those who watch that show are 'moderates' and
'centrists' who are half in agreement with him. This progressive has never, ever watched that show. Many on DU adore Joe and that Mika, they are quoted daily by the more 'DLC' type of DUer.
So the news for you is that the left never did watch that show. Moderates watch the show, conservatives, 'centrists' and other forms of Republican lite.
