Morning Joe should be cancelled if Coakley wins
The gloating on this show is disgusting. They are already acting as if the election is over and then rubbing it in to boot. This is a gloat show and nothing more. And if they are going to stake so much on Brown winning, if Coakley wins, they ought to apologize and then STFU.

2. They should cancel his deadbeat ass anyway.

And give the time slot to Richard Wolffe or someone else worthy of it.

21. No kidding. And why isn't he asked more about the dead intern in his office?
I can't believe that slimeball skated over that.

5. I think it should be cancelled anyway
Since Mike And Mike wasn't on ESPN2 this morning because of the Australian Open I switched over and I lasted about 2 minutes. They were talking about Conan O'Brien and they were saying that he should shut up and quit complaining. Mika said he should donate his money to Haiti relief. And the only thing I was wondering was how much money has she donated. Screw that show.

27. Mika is worse than Joe.
At least with Joe he admits that he's a conservative so you know where he is coming from. Mika pretends to be a liberal but contantly espouses conservative opinions.

6. Regardless of what the polls say
I have come to the conclusion that the press are becoming so they think they are the ones who say who wins or who looses.

Try this. Forget about voting. Send out one of those polling companies, one who you control. Then tell the country that the poll says this one or that one won. Don't bother to vote. Just declare they one you wanted to win to win and say the state and the country a lot of money. And then the press would show that the really control what is happening in this country.

Then we can tell the public they don't need to vote, they are not wanted, their wishes are not to be followed. Only the, in this case, the republican controlled press will tell us who they want and put them in.

Remember the poll they can't harping on in one of the New England States..Obama was going to win they said..Obama was going to take those votes for the primary. Hillary won overwhelming. So the press and the polls don't always know what the hell they are talking about. And I do think they push the voting in their direction. People stay home, because they think it is a waste of time, or vote the way the press says because to do other wise would be a waste of time. I think the polls should not be allowed.

8. The OP has nothing
to do with Amendment 1. It in no way advocates a law to restrict MSNBC. Instead, it is focused on the rights of consumers. The distinction is much the same as that between shit and sugar.

14. He wants the show cancelled if Brown wins
Sounds like he wants to shut down free speech to me:shrug:

What are the rights of consumers in this case? Consumers don't have the right to hear political views that they agree with on a morning show, the networks can program whoever and whatever they want.

The consumer does have the right to change the channel, or better yet, turn off the TV. I would suggest that the OP exercises this right.

16. Perhaps you would benefit
from reading the works of Dr. King. His protest movement frequently targeted businesses. This was a way to empower consumers. This is a pretty basic concept for those advocating progressive change. It is not in any sense -- absolutely none -- an attempt to deny constitutional rights. It is, in fact, an attempt to exercise them. It's interesting to note that you advocated a related measure -- turning off the tv. By doing so, just as by turning the channel, you are making a choice, as a (potential) consumer. You are not obligated to watch Mourning Joe, even if it hurts their ratings. More, if by not watching them, you are making a statement to their sponsors, you are doing a Good Thing. We should all be in favor of doing Good Things, don't you think?

18. how dare you advocate
mature logic.

This is one more token bash-joe thread - a long-standing morning tradition here.

Funny how there are so many "progressives" that advocate that MSNBC toe-the-line with a left-leaning message - or be taken off the air.

be cancelled simply because they do not like it.

Ridiculous. Elitist. No better than RW lock-step thinking.

9. So Weiner was gloating??????
c'mon. If you don't like it - change the channel.

I happen to like their lineup of guests. I watch the show daily.

Do you really suggest no one should be able to watch it because you don't like it? Isn't that a bit over the top?

22. Dear Pragmatist,
Morning Joe is there because people watch it and then talk about it, ie promote it. I have never seen this show, because I am not a 'moderate' or a 'centrist' so I have no need to feed for it.
Of course, you are up on their every word. Which is why Joe has a job, Bernie. That is how a realist knows it works. You are part of their audience and say so in public. You are a 'get' for them. A butt in a seat, eyes on the screen. You are giving them what they want, then whining about what they do. They do not care about the whining. As long as you watch them, the whining is actually gravy to them.
So if you oppose Joe, you need to stop watching him. And talk about that in public.

24. I made a mistake and turned it on while I had my coffee...
I watch it on occasion, not regularly, but damn this morning they painted a picture of Brown winning the election already and the Democrats were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It was a disgusting display that was both hard to watch and difficult to turn away from at the same time. After 10 minutes, I turned it off and will watch it no more.

It is currently running fourth among the cable news morning shows. They can't even beat Robin Meade!
