Kucininch Puts the SMACK DOWN on John Roberts this Morning
Roberts had Kucinich on his AM show this morning. Roberts was trying to frame the whole Articles of Impeachment as a goof, as Dennis "Flying Solo" and pulling a "political stunt"

Dennis replies (to the effect)- "We are in an illegal war. Approval for that war was given based on a campaign of lies. The vice president lead the charge in this campaign of disinformation."

Each time Roberts tried to lighten the mood, Kucinich whipped him right back onto message. It was good stuff.

Roberts: Aren't you alone in this crusade?

Kucinich: No. There are millions of people in this country who want to restore honesty and accountability to the White House. It is my DUTY to do this.

Roberts: Your starting at the bottom of the ladder, not going after president Bush.

Kucinich: Yes. If we impeach President Bush first, then Dick Cheney becomes President. America cannot let that happen.

44. I call for Cheney and Bush to resign. Who needs impeachment?
Call War contractor and Republican contributor General Electric Corporation at
203 373 2211 and ask for the public relations department.

Tell the person in public relations that you will not buy any General Electric Products until their CEO gets

1. Bush to end the war and occupation by December 2007.

2. That Cheney and Bush resigns.

The power to withhold our business and money from Republican contributors will push the Republican party to capitulate to our demands.

3. I suspect Tenent's revelations will have some bearing on the outcome...
...of DK's bill. If the pre-release buzz is any indication, Cheney is going to be cast in a very bad light. Protecting him might become politically untenable, even for Nancy P.

14. DK is a rare breed
A Dem with cajones and a spine to back them up. If the rest of the party really took the investigations they're doing (and their own reaction to the information) seriously, impeachment would be on the table already. How many charges of misconduct and corruption do they need to look into before it dawns on them it all has one origin: the office of the President?

Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 10:17 AM by bvar22
Dennis Kucinich is NOT afraid of losing large single source contributions (CEO).
He is free to speak for those Americans who must Work for a Living.

DK is the ONLY candidate who has a Clear & Consistent position on the illegal and immoral Iraq Occupation.

DK is the ONLY candidate who has a Clear & Consistent position on Single Payer Universal HealthCare.

DK is the ONLY candidate who has a Clear & Consistent position on "Free Trade".

DK has my confidence, my money, my vote, my time, and my support!

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

If articles of impeachment against the vice president is seen as a "political stunt,"* according to Roberts, I wonder what he considers important? What stories capture his attention and his imagination?

30. I imagine he was glued to the set during the Anna Nicole feeding frenzy. Besides that...
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 07:33 PM by warren pease
he likes to watch reruns of the Chandra Levy morality play, a bit of old Jon Benet footage, can't forget Robert Blake, and how about Mitzi the Shi Tzu as she prepares for her latest date with dog show destiny. Gets all nostalgic for the real meaty stories back in the day. Things haven't been the same lately, what with nonsense like Brittany's shaved head and Tom and Nicole's on-again off-again marriage dominating the headlines. Give him a white Bronco and a bloody glove and he purrs like a kitten.

Yup. That was a great time to be in the infotainment biz. He keeps lobbying for an assignment trailing OJ as he tirelessly seeks out the real killer at the 19th hole of some of the world's most exotic golf courses. But no. It's some goddam liberal do-gooder. He wants a raise if they're going to stick him with this crap.

25. Lack of press in left and right leaning media is astonishing
This is a rare and interesting event, and there is almost nothing out there on the story. LA Times had a 1.5 inch, two paragraph blurb on page 15 of the front section, the type of spot usually reserved for stories on alligators eating someone's dog in Florida.
