1. here is my report

I voted for Martha at 8:05 am. Southeastern Mass. It is raining slush outside, nasty stuff. No signs or sign holders with the exception of one Brown guy with a pickup truck with signs on it. No lines, but a steady flow of people. There are rarely any lines where I vote, except for the last election. I saw mostly older people and one mom with toddlers. How will this election end? I honestly have no idea.

I just left the coakley union GOTV in Dorchester. I wish I could tell you something optimistic, but I can't. we are working our asses off, but Resistance is high. If we win this, it will be the ground game. We know where our votes are (or ought to be). We really need to work hard to eek this one out. At least zogby thinks we can win.

7. I'm on facebook and shocked and saddened at what I am seeing.

I am seeing friends and family saying "I voted for Scott Brown". These are Democrats. These are posts saying "for the first time in my life I am voting republican. I'm sort of in shock. I feel let down and even angry at them. I think I am going to stay away from Facebook today before I ruin some friendships. My opinions of some people I love just went into the toilet.

My thoughts have no switched from "I have no idea who will win" to " I am pretty sure Brown will win".

don't visit the site. My relatives are all conservatives so I just ignore. I may wander over there to see if they have the nerve to post anything political. If they do, I'm armed and ready to go. I have conservative friends who put up wall posts "Vote Brown", become 'fans' of Scott Brown and change their profile pic to an Elect Brown slogan. My liberal friends don't do that, probably because they're not copycat dorks. We just go out and vote.

I asked two of my fb Brown supporting friends if they voted yet and they hadn't, and won't be able to - neither one realized the registration deadline passed awhile back. Guess they're voting in spirit!

I live in an overwhelming Democratic precinct. I was hoping to see a long line for the pre-work vote.
There wasn't one. This is not unusually for regional or off year elections.

However, riding the bus to work up just a few blocks is another polling place and there was a long
line (same demographic).

I don't know what this means.

No lines but steady at my own station in Hudson. I drive by a few others on my way in and, for this time of day, turn-out looks good.

On the bright side, I work with a bunch of Republican morons and have heard a few of them saying they're not planning to vote today. Woohoo.

but no lines, which is normal in a tiny little hamlet.

Anyway, we (Mr P and I) literally risked our safety going out into a snowstorm, up a dirt road that hadn't been plowed or sanded, then down another similar dirt (hill) road into town.

Took longer to get there than to vote.

I hope it wasn't for naught.
