Massachusetts Turnout
The message I keep seeing is GOTV. Turnout Turnout Turnout!! But doesn't the location of the turnout matter also? For instance, if the turnout Statewide is very high, but Boston turnout is lower...is that good or bad?

I'm not from Mass so I'm not familiar with the demographics. Anyone local want to provide some update?

1. What kind of "Democrat" needs to ask that question?
Tickle me, Elmo.

2. What?
Perhaps I should rephrase. Massachusetts is clearly and overwhelmingly Democratic state. But the level of Democratic support is not uniform. Some areas are more Democratic that others (i would assume). Therefore, are there specific areas where high turnout would be better than others?

3. Cities are better for Dems than rural. Suburbs are mixed.
That rule of thumb applies almost everywhere, red states and blue states alike.

4. Thank you
Therefore, my point is that there is good high turnout and there is not so good high turnout. High turnout in the rural areas (west Mass) wouldn't be as good as high turnout in Boston.

5. True. But getting Dems out to vote anywhere helps us.
Calling Democratic voters in the rural areas of the state and getting them to the polls is just as good as getting a voter in Boston to get up and go.

7. K&R to undo the usual, inscrutable UnReKKK. Really, the o.p. asks a reasonable question:
So what on earth would merit an UnReKKK?!1

8. Cambridge good, Charleton Bad
No offence Brookline but I think Cambridge has you beat in the Liberal department. And Charlton is the Redest town in the Commonwealth. In general rural, particularly Western MA outside Urban centers is quite Red by MA standards.
