Just voted (Yarmouth Port, on the Cape). Parking lot packed. Very high turnout,
I was told. Although this is usually in our favor, I'm not sure
in this case because this town has a lot of Repugs and Independents.
Fingers crossed! Pray, pray, pray.

TONS of Brown supporters in front of the polling place, waving their signs.
Three for Coakley.

Kaopectate, anyone?

5. I was so pissed at the Brown sign-wavers I wanted to run them into the road.
If I could get my hands on some Coakley signs, I'd be out there
in the rain right now.

10. Don't blame ya. And I'd be out there with you.
But I'm thinking the important thing is that signs aren't going to change anybody's mind on how to vote. :hi:

15. Hey! I just convinced someone to vote for Coakley at my pharmacy's drive-up window!
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 04:58 PM by hisownpetard
I asked her if she'd voted yet and she said she was still undecided (!).
So I went into all the things that Brown is against and she finally said,
"Well, I wasn't going to vote because I'm not crazy about Coakley. But now
that I realize what the alternative would mean, I'm gonna vote for Coakley
on my way home."

Thank goodness for small victories, right?

8. Thank You For The Update
Good to hear first hand reports. Who would have thought 1 year after Obama was sworn in there would be an election in January that meant so much?
