Why move Left?
Most American elections are decided by independents.

Independents say they want solutions to our problems.

There are no solutions too our problems on the right or in the center.

The reason to move left is because no matter how hard we try to turn politics in a TV show it cannot be completely disconnected from policy. At some point you have to govern effectively.

Shit that doesn't work is not good politics in the long run.

1. You go ahead and move Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu to the left for us
When you're done, let us know how that worked out.

Work on Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Joe Lieberman, too, while you're at it.

And then once you've moved them to the left, let us know how that works out over in Nebraska and down in Louisiana next election. Could be interesting.

2. well, because moving to the right has emasculated us as a party
produced spineless blue dog dems who roll over and give the republicans everything they want.

so we've tried that... it sucks big time. so I'd like to TRY moving left for a change...

I know that will break right wing democrat hearts like yours....oops I mean "centrist".

3. Reagan's tax cuts is the ultimate in "shit that doesn't work" but it has been the basis
of almost all political discussions for 30 years and they keep kicking our asses with it.

You know how many jaded folks I've met who say there is no difference in who we elect as they do the same thing? I've met more than a few. They are the reason why our voter turnour is no comparable to other countries.

Call them fools. Call them cynics. I call them "in need to know the difference".
