5. You can't fault him. The entire country has an absurd idea about what "left" means.
"left" means - "left within the framework of elite consensus" i.e. within the structural parameters of our political-economic system as defined by the financial elite.

By that definition, he can be both seen as and portrayed to the public as a "left" president. It's not right, but its how it works.

12. He's not the only tool who thinks that...
I was reading an article from the Washington Post that was in my local newspaper and the asshat author had the gall to say that Obama was bringing the country too far too the left and that's why his numbers were dropping. THE LEFT?!!!! WHEN THE FUCK DID THAT HAPPEN AND WHERE WAS I WHEN IT DID?!!! I shit you not, I got so angry I ripped out the little square that was the author's bio, spit on it, crumpled it up and through it in the waste basket. Only in America can a center right corporate politician be labeled left, socialist, marxist, and whatever :eyes:

"The Democrats who think Congressional leadership leans too far to the left voted 67-31 for Barack Obama in 2008. They express an intent to vote for Scott Brown by a 69-25 margin."

16. that is the standard media line
the internet lefties don't get it, but without a doubt if Coakley loses the spin will be that Obama and the democrats went too far to the left. This foolishness of thinking that Coakley is losing because progressives are mad at Obama is a fantasy. Progressives are voting for Coakley. Conservatives are voting for Brown, and idiots are sitting this one out.

Oh and uh, Tweety? If there IS a parallel universe where the President is too far to the left, can you tell me how to get there? Maybe there are jobs in that world.

27. That's all we are going to hear from here until November - and beyond
It's all centered around the DLC re-framing of the Democratic party. As I said in another thread, in the near future, today's traditional Republican will be considered tomorrow's leftist Democrat if they get their way.
