Have the Dems moved to the right? Yes.

But if the voters are angry about it, why would they elect a Republican who is even more to the right? That makes no sense.

Maybe this country is just too conservative.

8. With regard to Mass.....
I read a post on DU earlier that showed how many Dems in Mass who voted for Obama were voting for Brown. If that's the case then you can't blame the DLC or the move to the right.

6. How do we know liberals stayed home?
Whoever in the positions of power does an analysis of this election (to prepare for the future of the party) better be honest with themselves about who voted. I'd like to see hard numbers.
