The real lesson and the only real lesson of this election

We can't get complacent, ever. Martha Coakley and a lot of other Dems just thought that this was going to be a cakewalk to the Senate and didn't work for it. Voters don't like to be taken for granted and will wallop politicians for doing so. There were other factors at play, but I honestly believe that if Martha had run hard like she was a no-name underdog, she would have been Senator-Elect right now. The GOP got to frame the whole race and by the time she woke up, it was too late.

This is a sad night. I feel like crawling in the bed and eating velveeta right out of the box.:cry:

here in liberal coastal California, it's the same story.....people who worked so hard for Obama's campaign are disallusioned and disgusted, not just with the state of the HCR bill, but the escalation in Afghanistan, the giveaways to banksters, etc. At some point, people get fed up.

As I've had in my signature for weeks now, this is what's going to happen this year. anti-incumbency. So that's why the bad "Democrats" need to go in the primaries, to keep the Repukes out in November.

So in California.... do all you can to defend Boxer and defeat Harman - just to mention the first two names that pop in to my head from that state.
