As a veteran of living with (TWO) repub senators, you'll finding that they don't actually listen to members of the opposing party. Oh, but you'll get on their mailing list and your mailbox will be filled with junky missives.

"Do you make six figures or more per year?"

4. Whatever you do be polite and be able to back up

everything you complain about. I do it to my Repub Congressman regularly and he does write me back. He really has to as I'm a constituent but he doesn't if there is a whiff of crank that gives him the opportunity to write me off.

5. Rule of thumb from a liberal who has had experience at this.

Don't expect Republicans to ever consider anything you say. They'll always vote how they feel no matter how much begging, pleading, demanding, debating, or trying you do.

Lesson:
Democrats should start doing the same: Vote how we feel is best. The Republicans ALWAYS DO and they get what they want. We don't get what we want because we don't stick to our own platform.

better use is to work to win back the seat and to work to make your Dem leaders appreciate that they need to stop selling out to corporations.
