"This is a rejection of socialized medicine. This is a rejection of liberal Democrats."
Meanwhile, in reality, this was disillusionment with a government that promised real change in health care and peace and failed to deliver. This was rejection of a party that had looked just a little bit too much like its opponent. This was what happens when people who had the "audacity to hope" become cynical. I mean, did you hear the Democrats, when they began to realize Brown would win? We can pass this with 51???? Since fucking when? Where was that attitude when it could something meaningful could have been passed?
It's too bad the mainstream media won't report the reality.
And here's the thing DU needs to remember. When the corporate mainstream media spins the narrative, they won't be spinning it because they are anti-democrat.
They'll be spinning it because they are against the principles many of us associate with the Democratic Party.
