13. So, you got the official Rahm talking points too. Just released: "it's all ONE person's fault"
Yeah right. Just like Rahm, ducking responsibility for anything - always.

you can't blame that on Rahm.

Nice try sliming Hamsher, tho.

Rahm appreciates your DLC support.

30. Like Maddow said; " ...it was message not policy..." the DNC doesn't get the right message out and..
...it looks like while she was on vacation Brown used his media inside (his wifes resources) to define Coakley and the sexist (no a woman could NEVER get away with what he did) pics didn't hurt for notoriaty either.

Letting reThugs define dems have ALWAYS been the dems downfall; in message politics if you counterpunching your losing.

20. Sort of amazing, isn't it?
Couple of guys on Hardball (one Dem, one Rep) both agreed that this is probably the most poorly-run campaign in modern political history.

This isn't meant to be the proverbial circular firing squad, but Coakley and her staff bungled what should have been a slam dunk. She had a 20-30 point lead only a month ago and squandered it.

They chose her to be the candidate. She was a horrible horrible choice. She ran a terrible campaign, had terrible help from the national party (if any) Dozens of things went wrong to create today's results. If we don't fix things, November will be ugly.

did not want her, she had a good Primary campaign and a very poor election. Going on holiday during an election makes you look entitled to the seat.

She was so confident she switched her position on HCR right after the primary. It was a big mistake. I know 3 people who voted against her for that reason.

34. About Obama
Unfortunately this was a referendum on Obama (primarily healthcare). Even if she ran a good campaign, I think she would have lost by 1-2 points still.

If economy doesn't recover, Obama may have real trouble in 2012.

This is a political equivalent of the Haiti earthquake

35. Ummm, looking at the facts this person was a VERY VERY STUPID candidate and the last couple of
..times the dems won it was never a referendum on reThugs so I don't believe our very sloppy M$M memes.

The economy will recover and all Obama has to do is point to reThug policies that got us here and Obama never had 60 votes to begin with so agenda wise he'll get what he wants passed.

47. This is a 100k majority
with a low turn out in the best areas. This is bad campaigning. How many votes were lost by running a candidate who pretty much thought the election was over when she won the Primaries? So much so she went on holiday during the campaign?

she made fun of Brown for shaking hands at Fenway Park when it was cold outside. She only made 19 appearances between the primary and the special election, Brown made at least 60.
