Consider how many of the lines that are contained in those emails wind up being repeated at neighborhood parties and around water coolers and from your brother in law's pie hole. That sort of crap lets this male Sarah Palin win in a Democratic state.

11. It happens to me and it sucks. Now if I hear someone say something I try to be polite

:rofl: and tell them that they are wrong and explain why. Seriously though I do try to be nice now because I found out that they get mad if I get mad.

The last time I heard someone say a hoax was at the drug store when this lady said Target was French and did not support the troops. She works there and we are friendly so I went home and just printed out a Snoopes page about it and when I went back to give it to her I was very nice.

And she said, "I don't believe this." and handed it back to me.


EDIT: To add at least I put the idea in her head and I made sure to see her the next time I went in and be friendly again and she was friendly with me, although I bet she is not a happy camper about the whole thing.

Agitation propoganda gets used because they know it works.I wish I knew a surefire way to counter it.One thing I know that doesn't work is ignoring it by putting senders on block.Anyone that gets it should use snopes or other verifiable sources to counter it and hit reply all.
Our side should also consider using our own agitprop mailings.

I had a conversation with a neighbor the other night. He told me (among other things) that:

---John McCain is a Progressive
---Sarah Palin is smart
---Progressives want big government and conservatives like George Bush want small government
---Barack Obama instigated the bank bailouts

So, I turn on glen beck tonight, and he spewed each and every one of these talking points.

They are LIARS people. And they are commandeering the easily persuaded and the idiotic to spread their message
of hate.
