Is this a bad dream or some kind of nightmare?

Seriously. Nearly FIFTY YEARS of dem rule in a new england bastion of democracy has gone puke?

joe blow lieberliar beats Ned Lamont in conn and now this! UNFRICKING' BELIEVABLE.

After eight years of george w. shitforbrains, this country is still going pub, and in the NORTHEAST?A long awaited movement to let the poorest, most needy people in one of the world's richest countries, drove the populous this fucking crazy?

From now on around here, LAY OFF THE SOUTH.

There are no words to even describe how I'm feeling tonight. JFK, Bobby and Teddy must be turning over in their graves. Unfucking believable.

6. At this point I am actually tempted to reach for
the tinfoil, and no I don't mean stealing an election... something a lot deeper than that...

But the comment from Frank that we really should not get ahem bolder and shit we need to listen to the people of Massachusetts... tells me some people are purposely fielding weak candidates...

Or just destroying outsiders...

Or fielding experienced candidates that shit, run a campaign that a two year could be critical off...

They should get bolder, instead they will tact right.

12. I'm trying to figure out what the message was.... "I dislike....
Martha "I can't be bothered to campaign" Coakley", or was it actually people that "consider" themselves dem, that decided that some poor, bastard might get some affordable health care if another dem got elected.

I'm at a loss. This a really bad thing, more than some around here even realize.

18. I have been saying that people are angry
no, not partisans... and since changed was promised and was not delivered...

Well 1994 is a good reminder of what may be in store for November. And that would mean a further tact to the right.

I hope the leadership in DC is taking note. Everytime I think I can't get more disillusioned and suspicious,, another shoe falls.

8. I'm still blame the South
the party spends too many resources on the south and interior plains states. and it allowed a situation like this to happen. if we didn't have winy ass dems in districts with a CPI of R+10

16. yeah
We shouldn't waste resources in marginal districts. if we focus on traditional Dem strongholds and what reliable areas. we can still have a majority. will it be as big as it is now? no. but what have we done with our majority to date?

It's like we just grabbed the ring and the ride is already coming to an end! Lets hope NOT

Hey I still think it was that naked picture in Cosmo which still makes it f'n crazy anyway but leaves me hope that it was a "fluke" and those Diebold voting machines that caused this one....but I know... probably not the case . sucks

13. Sorry, that's what happens when you spray paint a dog turd
Most folks know that it is still a dog turd. Sorry, were not buying the Dem bullshit anymore. Either act like you are for the people or the people will choose the dog turd. In this case, the real piece of shit won. Frankly, I'd rather have a piece of shit I could identify instead a piece of shit like DiFi who pretends to not be a piece of shit because she is covered in Gold spray paint.

Fuck em! If they are not serving the interest of the people, they need to be voted out.

17. Folks see Republicans have balls, and libs acting like wuses
We are easy to fool and the TV machine will be the end of America. Martha let Republican BS go unpunished and they got a win. "Democrats" almost across the board are doing the same.

They have no spine because it pays better. And we will suffer. I hope "Democrats" lose, and we may then elect Democrats. But not hopeful until the media is changed... lol

19. Soap opera board talking about being glad about Brown.
Exactly! We would have to pay 40% taxes while union members get away scott free - all because they supported Obama and now Obama is returning the favor. Bribery.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love unions. I don't belong to a union, but even I realize that unions are responsible for a lot of the benefits that non-union employees current receive. 40-hour work week, paid vacations, health care, etc. were all union benefits that non-union employers had to compete with...they couldn't compete unless they offered the same thing. Now those things are the norm. Thank you unions!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i don't love them and i go to work just like them and don't see why the heck i should pay MORE in taxes just because i have healthcare. healthcare i might add that isn't free and that i pay a pretty penny for. yet they get a free tax break? screw that.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a union worker and always will be. No way I'm going to let the Fat Cats fuck with me and my salary and benefits and work times. I know unions aren't perfect and there is a lot of shadiness but no way would I work without the protection of a union.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
i have for years and i like that my money is spent where i want it, not to finance their agenda. and like i said, screw them trying to give the unions a free tax ride while the rest of us, even little ol' me with my part time job that pays up the wazoo for healthcare, being told that i have to pay taxes on it.

if it's good enough for me to pay then the unions should too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think you can blame unions for getting something that you don't. I don't work for a union but I also don't pay taxes on my health care. Blame your employer.

20. Let's all pause to give a big round of applause to the "Progressives" who stayed home
The progressives who are butthurt that Obama didn't fix 30 years of fuckup in 359 days
The progressives who howled and stomped about how we needed to "send the democrats a message"
The progressives who honestly believe that more of their agenda will get passed if there are more Republicans in office.

Step up folks, take your bows, get your laurels. You're motherfucking heroes, ain'cha?

anti immigrant, anti healthcare for the poor, corporate whoring, greedy, gods fearing society.

As massachussetts goes, so does the country. In other words, we're fucked big time.

25. Yes, no state is unassailable
On another thread we were talking about the volatility of California - blue in Presidential elections, Boxer, but then elected Ahnuld and Prop 8.

Conn. is blue but is responsible for Lieberman.

Montana and nebraska send Dems but they are Blue Dogs.

In Delaware I can almost sit on my high horse - we have Biden's replacement and one Blue Dog. Dem governors but a moderate Rethug in the House. But now I'm concerned not to assume that Biden's seat will get a Dem for replacement. this election is a good wake up call not to assume that.

27. What has happened to our country....
Is there such a ground swell of people in this country that have been jaded by terrah alerts and FUX news propaganda, people so scared that a poor person might get some health care, a poor mexican might cross the border and break their back trying to obtain 1/10th of what we have become accustomed to. gods forbid we might run out of hair bleach, botox, silicone and plastic fingernails.

I don't even recognize this country anymore.
