Can we at least conclude that greed and lack of empathy is winning?

When our country - this so-called "Christian nation" - is faced with political opportunities to share, to help those in need - such as passing HCR - we have a lethal combination of "if I've got mine, screw you", combined with a tissue-paper thin grasp of the facts, thus allowing the right wing noise machine to twist reality?

It isn't just about the 60 vs 59 BS I'm watching on my Teevee. This situation has been building for a long time. Reagan built the frame, Bush put in the flooring.

This is not a country I have been proud of for a long time (if ever...)

2. no, that is not it at all IMHO

The perception is, I think, that the HCR bill was greed in action as it seemed to cater to big pharma and insurance companies. That is why its public support is dropping.

Thats my thought anyway.
