Unadjusted Exit Polls for Mass Senate Race?

Everyone was so certain this would be a cakewalk that neither the news orgs nor the parties opted to spend money on exit polls.

2. There were none done. Interest peaked too late because everyone thought it wouldn't be

much of a race.

Rasmussen (sp?) did a phone poll to try to get some exit poll-type data but it isn't an actual exit poll and it is RW Ras-crap so I don't know how much it really means.

And the only thing that the unadjusted exit polls tell you after the polls close is how accurate the geographic and demographic assumptions the pollsters made in making their model were.

No model, no way to get the early exit polling data extrapolated to the electorate as a whole. Nobody likes to think about that little link in the reasoning, but it's crucial. Leave it out and, well, you're gibbering. And, since so many people not only leave it out but consider leaving it out to be the height of rational thought and critical thinking, it's good there were no exit polls.
