The glee of it all: Chuck Todd and Norah O'Donnell (MSNBC)

They can hardly contain themselves. I'll bet both of them have wet their underpants over this "victory" in Massachusetts. Big smiles, bright eyes...they are just thrilled with today's news of yesterday's crushing blow to the Democrats.

And they owe themselves credit for perhaps helping to shape this race, with their constant doom and gloom over a Democrat winning a seat held by another Democrat for over 40 years. Were they responsible in their reporting of the events leading up to this special election? Did they truly cover both candidates fairly?

I believe the M$M should report the news, not make the news. But apparently, it's OK today to help form public opinion by expressing commentary as fact.

I blame the Democrats for this, too. After M$M's cover up of the Bush Administration's crimes for 8 years, it's obvious the corporate-owned media conglomerates serve not the public, but their corporate masters. This is a disservice to the American people, who think they have a right to depend on what they're told is news truly is news, and not exploiting a corporate agenda.

We need something like the Fairness Doctrine that labels commentary as such. This would force Faux News to show the "COMMENTARY" notation on the screen most of the time. People would be shocked to learn how much of what they're told is not really news, but commentary to shape public opinion.

As long as we have weak Democrats who also bow to their corporate masters, we'll have more of the same. There will be no real change because those who are really in charge like things the way they are.

The one thing that's truly lacking in this country is accountability. For the words that are spoken, and for the actions taken that are not in the best interests of the public at large.

If the people really want things to change, they're going to have to force that change on the elected representatives who no longer serve the voters. How that happens remains to be seen. There will be no real change without it, though.

Chuck is a numbers whiz and Nora is an engaging reporter and commentator.

4. No, they are biased. Chuckie has this weird way of saying, "the American People feel, think,.."

He's a Beltway pundit tied to the White House. He has no clue how the American people are feeling or thinking. He uses the numbers on HCR to say that people don't want the change... when in fact, they want real change... they want a Medicare for All solution. Had the Dems actually worked for the People, and not the corporate overlords, they would have had the support from the American people and win elections for the next 40yrs. Its his analysis that is wrong. AND he's clearly in favor of keeping his bread and butter coming his way. The corporate media will protect the coporations. They are part of the problem.

Chuck is hardly the only one. FUX is of course the media arm of the republican party and it seems that everyone follws the FUX lead. We get an occasional snausage like Olbermann, but that is always countered with a Morning Joe.

Not to absolve the democratic party for not acting like democrats.

Chuck Todd has a long history of biased "reporting."

Norah O'Donnell also reports with different inflections in her voice that communicate disapproval. She allows Republicans to flat out lie without calling them on it, stating "facts" that have been debunked repeatedly.

Fair is not a proper word to define what they do.

2. I honestly don't know how I feel about this.

I do know I have seen the "interview" where NO basically sneered at Cindy Sheehan throughout the entire thing and I find Chuckles completely loathsome. But I really have learned to not pay too much attention to MSM.

This is so sickening. If they were so damn angry about the state of the economy, and the jobs being lost, where were they during the eight years that bush and his cronies, most of those same republicans still in congress were doing this.

You are correct is saying the MSM doesn't report the news. No where do you see them reporting that these continual loses are the fault of the policy of the bush administration. That the mess on Wall Street is also. I blame the Obama administration for not setting up a committee to look into the actions of the previous administration that caused this mess.

You see that the public is starting to blame Obama and the Democrats, altho they know damn well it isn't their fault. Obama has to tighten up on Wall Street. He has to let the public know that he is trying to weed out the crooks. I think they democrats should have left the anti=trust provision in the Health Care Bill.

And it is a bunch of crap to rant and rave about the 60 vote thing. Remember that Liberman only went with the Democrats ONCE to help with that. He has been the thorn in the side of the Democrats all along. It is time, since they can't justify keeping him to kick him out as chairman of the committee he is on. He is not needed let him go to the republicans, he wants to any way. He is smooching along with the Democrats to work both sides of the aisle.
