However, what was a mistake was not laying the blame at the foot of the republicans, with years of deregulation, wars based on a lie, and financial collapse

and in retrospect, compromise was a complete failure I am sorry to say

That being said, one would hope they would now change course and do what is right for the people. We never had 60 votes in reality anyway, so forget the compromise, and stand for principles

5. What Have You Done For Me Lately...

Many of those who went to vote yesterday did a gut check...they looked at their pocketbook and aren't happy. They're looking at a government heavy on rhetoric and with little real action. And since the Democrats are in control, they're going to get the blame. Inversely the rushpublicans can and will lie and distort since they have no downside...no one in the corporate media fact checks their propaganda...and are glad to pass it along. It allows the scumbags to escape any responsibility of the messes they created and revise history to absolve themselves of any guilt in the 30 years of "deregulation" that has turned this government into a kleptocracy.

It's easy to campaign, to throw rhetoric around...it's a lot harder to actually govern. Rushpublicans have no interest in governing other than to fleece the treaury...thus very easy for them to ride their high horses and avoid being blamed for the current messes. But plaing tit-for-tat won't help Democrats as many voters are turned off by the on-going partisan bullshit. Those who are out of jobs, have no healthcare or saw their incomes and savings dwindle want answers, not rhetoric...if Democrats can deliver tangible results, they will be rewarded, if they continue to sit on their hands and play games, they'll now be held responsible.
