like its a spigot that can just be turned off? I didn't know the US made that agreement. who gets to decide when 2 degrees happens? what's to stop it?

As IPCC head and as the director general of India's Energy and Resources Institute, Pachauri was at the center of negotiations at last year's UN summit on climate change in Copenhagen, which resulted in a US-brokered agreement that sets a commitment to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius. doesn't it sound arrogrant/stupid to say : 'commitment to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius.'
