1000 more jobs have been added to Dice.com since yesterday
Dice is the #1 job board for information technology. I've been a member there since 1998.

As of this afternoon there are 53K jobs. Yesterday morning there were just over 52K jobs.

At the height of the dotcom bubble there were 130K jobs posted. During the recession of 2001 I remember seeing it as low as 28K jobs.

Before Christmas there were around 48K jobs and its been slowly climbing over the last few weeks. 1000 new jobs in 24 hours is excellent news. Things are starting to improve.

3. I wonder how many are scams. We have a sudden flood of
jobs at some more local job sites here, but when one sends one's resume, one finds out that it's just a freecreditreport scam.

5. There are some job boards that have scams
but this one does not. Some jobs are duplicates- more than one agency is trying to fill them.

4. Good news. I am big fan of Dice. Better signal to noise ratio than most job boards.
I tried getting another job mid last year and it was dead. A token on listings on the board 99% were contracts and most had requirement lists pages long.

Landed new job (using DICE :) ) in December, started in January. Not only are there more listings there are more employee vs contractor and requirements are more reasonable.

Compared to 6 months ago it is night and day.

Here is hoping the trend in IT continues.
