Honduras ex-leader Zelaya offered safe passage

Honduras' President-elect Porfirio Lobo has offered the country's ousted leader Manuel Zelaya safe passage to the Dominican Republic.

The deal was agreed by Mr Lobo and Dominican President Leonel Fernandez in Santo Domingo, officials say.

Under the agreement, Mr Zelaya would go to the Dominican Republic after Mr Lobo took office on 27 January.

Mr Zelaya was ousted and forced into exile in June. He later returned and took refuge in Brazil's embassy.

new president said he'll protect Zalaya on the way out. I'm sorry but that is total bull shit.

3. Look on the bright side, today the IMF did what I read in the tea leaves

they will pardon ALL of Haiti's debt and the WB is looking for a way.

When I saw who they were consulting, a Keynseian development expert I went... the Chicago Boys are loosing their luster at the IMF and WB...

That and bankssters about to be broken (even the threat sent the stock exchange down)...

Zelaya may not be it, but Haiti today was more significant...
