Let's go over this one more time...about those health care benefits to Congress members.
The only way we can ever truly solve this injustice to the American people is to drop health care benefits from our elected officials in DC and let these talks start at square one. It would become illegal for insurance companies to offer the politicians or their families special health care policies or discounted rates. Only then will these politicians agree to a plan that is equatable for all.

The question is, where do we start to implement such a program? Who would sponsor such an effort and how can we go about garnering the signatures and support. If the process can be defined then work can begin on solving this problem. All we have is time and if we don't start now, when will the time be better? I think it is evident that the solution is not going to come from those currently in charge.

The people who were elected to look out for the interest of the American people have obviously jumped the track and are working tirelessly to fill their own bank accounts and rob the American people of health care insurance and health care, a vital component to any successful country. Let's put down in words what the process would be to get the ball rolling and take back our future.

Please do not respond with calls that this is impossible. Two years ago we might have thought that getting Obama to the White House was impossible. The leg work, donations, time and money that everyday people contributed to make that happen came from hometown USA. We are here, big eyed and appalled at what is happening to health care in this country. There must be a way to put all of that energy to good use.

2. Like everything else we try to do, it takes either 60 votes in the Senate
or two-thirds vote to change a rule. Minority rules with these rules. It only takes one or two obstructionists like Joe Leiberman to gum up the works. Get used to it. I think we are going to have to find the Trojan Horse to get the legislation we want by stealth and while they aren't looking.

3. We can talk all we want about sad Joe.
That is where our conversation ends ultimately. I find it hard to believe that there is just no other way. Outside the box, brainstorming mania and we can only bump our thick headed noggins up Joe Leiberman's behind. I won't take that as a final. This movement that I envision will have to go around the old standard dead ends and be so vocal that Obama will realize that Americans are serious about this and will not be satisfied come 2012, unless we get the health care package that we need to survive.

4. That could be a Trojan Horse, a way of getting around the walls or
roadblocks to getting inside and derailing the status quo. It will have to be something innovative however it's done.

5. If the plan were right I think we could get coverage from Keith and Rachel.
I would love to launch the action from DU and actually see something come from all of this head banging that we do around here! In the olden days it would have been a small donation and a mega ad in the newspaper. Maybe a web site like the one after * stole 2004, what was it called, "I'm Sorry World"? Not sure of the exact name. It could be names, pictures and stories of folks who have been harmed by our current system. We could strive to get everyone who contributed, volunteered and stumped for Obama to sign in. How sweet to see the Obama machine right there for all see. This would not be enough but a good start. How long would it take to get the word out to Obama's volunteer force. Not long. I have mine and I'm not afraid to use it!
