ANY bad news for Democrats would have been spun like we're seeing.
OF COURSE Brown's victory was a referendum on Obama, because he's such a liberal. :sarcasm:

OF COURSE the Democrats will lose everything in November, because the Republicans have proven themselves so honest and trustworthy! Out to do the people's business, yessir!

It has nothing to do with the fact that Massachusetts residents already have health care. Or that Coakley was a sucky candidate. (She was; I didn't want to say anything before.)

Don't listen to the spin coming from the corporate media. They say everything is a bad omen for the "Democrat" party. And they always will. That's their job.

Here's a thought: if we make the Republicans actually filibuster, and broadcast that on C-SPAN; if we stay on message and call them obstructionists who don't want health reform at all... we'll be just fine in November, thank you.

1. All the post-election polls support what The Left has been saying all year.

Specifically: that people want strong, progressive leadership from Obama and they feel the current HCR bill is far too weak. Are those polls just made up?

2. Exactly. And they contradict the talking heads.
Something's made up here. Maybe it's the guy who's just pulling it out of his ass.

3. Brown ran as an independent. Voters are sick and tired of both parties
Brown's campaign literature, signs, bus, speeches DID NOT refer to him as a 'Republican' or 'GOP'er.

The Republican brand is so shitty they've been doing that for a few election cycles here in the west.

And the way the Democrats are fucking up they'll have to start doing it, too.
