Why does HCR need to be one huge bill?
I refuse to believe that GOP congressmen are against every single idea.

If we had slimmer, more efficient bills and a bit of patience, we might've had incremental progress as opposed to losing everything.

1. i think this approach is probably the only one that will work for a while
and my number one item on the agenda would be : rescission

No company may cancel and insurance policy (contract) that is paid in full for any illness.

I am sure there is some legalese that has to go in there...but that should be step one. After that, let's tackle pre-existing conditions...

6. That is not what either bill actually says, not at all
The bills say that recission is illegal, EXCEPT FOR CASES OF "FRAUD." The mass-murdering shitstains will drive their trucks straight through that one.

7. yeah...hopefully the stringent requirements to prove fraud
will be placed on the ins companies as it would be to you and i trying to prove fraud...but probably not.

9. "Fraud" will (most likely) be defined as lying or omitting information on your application.
As in, if you fail you list every pre-existing condition if they find something you didn't put in they can reject you and put you in the "loser" pool.

And you think all of those HIPAA forms you've been signing preclude the insurance companies data-mining everything from your grocery store receipts to your credit card bills?

2. Since hind sight is 20/20, we can look back and say "If only we had done it different"

The truth is, we ran out of time trying to hit home runs with our super majority. If instead we had been writing smaller bills and hitting base hits, we would be much further ahead now.

Keep in mind we have not lost.

We still hold a majority in the Senate

We still hold a majority in the House

We still hold the Executive Branch

It is not over, the repukes still have not won

4. and to me that is a great thing
i think if we present manageable and understandable bills that have a popular following in the electorate the 'pubs can't fight them without pissing off their constituents who WANT that stuff but were 'afraid' (or whatever) of the huge bill that is out there.

5. +100 Push through smaller bills, explain exactly how they work and
who they help. Make the GOP defend their no votes.

10. Because it's supposed to be one big piece of shit for us
And one big gold mine for the insurance industry.

Breaking it up might result in some crumbs being thrown our way.
