Who Needs To Hear The Message The Most: Harry Reid
It's clear the White House has stood up and is listening to the message that Massachusetts voters sent them. But more importantly, Harry Reid needs to listen up. Stop trying to get Republicans to vote for a HCR Bill. There is no HCR Bill that Republicans will vote for. Period.. What Republicans are really trying to block is the requirement of Health Insurance companies to stop excluding people with pre-existing conditions. Why? Because if there was a way to cover people with pre-existing conditions and make money at the same time, the Health Insurance companies would have already figured it out. As long as the pre-existing condition clause is in the bill, not a single Republicans will vote for the HCR bill. Ever.

So stop trying to get their vote. Find a way to get the House version passed.

One way House progressives are considering as was hinted by Rep. Woolsey on Olberman last night, was for the Senate to pass a bill through reconciliation that modifies the Senate HCR Bill to the House's liking. But to do that, the House will have to pass the Senate bill first, something no House liberal wants to do.

Listen up Sen. Reid. The seat that was held by a legacy was lost because you weren't listening. You'll certainly lose yours if you don't hear that now.
