Ok, so that a man who posed nude won an election shows that America is sexist...
...because a woman who had posed nude could never win such a seat.

However, IF a woman who had posed nude had won such a seat, I assume that obviously would show that America is sexist too, because
then she would have won because she posed nude.

Sounds like the hypothesis "America is sexist" is not falsible by considering the correlation between posing nude and winning elections.
Therefore I would not recommend this correlation as an indicator of America's sexism.

1. if a woman posed nude, she would be on news, naked, 24/7 and that would be all talked about
never ending, never stopping, see the tits, oh yea.... boobies, look boobies, we like boobies. why deny us the boobies. only boobies. not a big deal. you puritans, suck it up. just boobies..... endlessly

5. You are not making sense.
You are complaining about people who tell "you puritans suck it up" and about people who think "boobies" are not a big deal, while at the same time complaining that "showing boobies" would lead to lost elections.

Which side are you on then? The "puritan" or the "other"? Would YOU vote for a woman who showed "boobies" ?

7. the sexism is in that it was not on news 24/7. not on news at all. if a woman
would be plastered everywhere, all the time

9. I assume the media go by the ratings.
If there is a market for naked men, they will show naked men.

14. no, you dont. maybe cause you seriously dont get sexism
and i am not being snarky, as much as it may feel like i am

naked women,..... plaster on tv for news sake.
naked man....... nah

ratings?

what, it is all about rating. so ratings are a thumbsup to sexism, then must be ok for it to be a thumbs up with racism and homophobia. oh no, we would never do that. to be racist, or homophobic is wrong

to be sexist

just ratings

17. Ok, I think I understand now.
You think the nude man should have been all over the media.

But the crux is: Would you want to look at the nude man?

I mean, they put nude women on TV because men are interested in looking at them.

They don't put them on TV just for the hell of it.

They will put nude men on TV as soon as women (or other men) display interest in looking at them.

21. "is your penis too small?" the men are up in arms over these commercials.
nfl worked to get these commercials off the tv. on the senate floor, men were trying to get them banned from tv

john stewart last night talking to an actor about being naked in the film. blew him away, totally flipped him out at the suggestion. a naked female, hooyah.

cenk with tyt has a model in underwear commercial can only handle the picture being up for seconds before he is saying, ok, take the picture off, enough already. a naked female, he is all over.

cenk had shriveled penis scolded by hot water with an actor. couldnt handle it at all.

it is a male dominated industry. the MALES would nto be able to handle naked guy on tv. but women..... free game.

i am not suppose to be bothered when they do it to women. not a big deal. too sensitive.

my ego can handle just fine
theirs, not at all

and i am not suppose to see. we are suppose to pretend it isn't

38. no. not a joke. a story. and on news all the time to have her naked for male entertainment
there would be crude, and vulgar, and snickers and a bunch of adolscent behavior as the men running the shows are thrilled, they once again found a story to put a naked woman on their news, degrading her, humiliating her, dehumanizing her.

I don't believe that this situation would prove that America is sexist because if she had been elected even after posing nude she would be treated as just a human being who had posed nude, not as a (gasp!!!) WOMAN!!!

Would a nude pic of her have reduced her ratings?
I'm not so sure about that.

22. she RAN on her looks. she used her sexuality, certainly not her brain
her whole campaign was.... she is hot.

then the media created a battle between women. the reason women dont like sarah is cause she is hot.

ask a repug why they want sarah.... cause she is hot

that was her campaign.

then the males proceeded to cut and paste her on naked bodies and flooded internet.
had a porn movie made with a look a like

seeing any of our male politicians having porn movies made with look a likes?

31. She's not too smart, but she is smart enough to know what sells to her base -
and that is about as base as it can get - while Hillary was wearing pant-suits, she was standing on stages above her audience letting all the guys below look up her miniskirt.

I mean, c'mon Sarah.

33. and she is a female that played the role, reinforcing the sexism in this country
that is why women were pissed. along with her using role as a mom for being a candidate and she is a piss poor mom. and being stupid and leaving bad taste for every woman.

she was an embarrassment to the accomplishment of women. huge ass two steps backward for us.

then you are hopeless. sexism is alive and rampantly well in this country, and it is sickening to see its existence constantly denied.

by considering whether a nude pic affected ones campaign, because either outcome would be interpreted as postive.
