WTF is a "religious device"?!

Just heard that a plane from LGA > KY was grounded and a male passanger was detained for questioning on the grounds that he possessed a "religious device."

22. I doubt many of my religious "devices" would make it past security

The most basic is my Athame: A double edged dagger, no one else may ever touch it. Needless to say, I would never attempt to fly with it.

We also have another special curved knife, a sword, a staff, fire, incense, oils, etc. If I actually needed to bring my things on a trip, I would ship them ahead of time.
